About the role:

As a Financial Controller you will support Finance Managers in GBS Controllership in all aspects of accounts records and financial reporting for assigned countries. Countries will be assigned and are subject to change depending on the business case.

This role will own EMEA-based service delivery, compliance (tax law and local regulations and required actions relating thereto,), and implementation of key EMEA-based initiatives (business case, requirements, program management, and resource planning) relating to general ledger accounting records, taxes, Stat and Corporate reporting as well as compliance to Corporate Finance Policies assigned by Senior Finance Manager. 

 

In this role you will:

  • Supports Finance Manager in working closely with the EMEA Controllership organization, EMEA and Corporate Regional Accounting, Tax and Treasury, country leaders
  • Ensure that all GL transactions and reporting are accounted for in a complete, timely, and accurate manner for countries processed by the team
  • Perform review of work, execute reporting related controls (including SOX controls) and provide support for the Team in accounting and reporting related issues
  • List the expectations for each job responsibility including quality and quantity standards by which the incumbent will be required to perform and receive a rating during the Performance Appraisal
  • Use the SMART system (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Reasonable, Timing) to describe each Performance Standard

Our requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Sound knowledge of International Accounting Standards and Taxation, US GAAP knowledge as an asset
  • Experience with preparing financial statements under IFRS and local standards
  • Experience in financial controlling and business partnering preferred
  • Experience in tax accounting and reporting
  • Experience in audit considered an asset
  • Able to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Approaches responsibility with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to excellence
  • Experienced in ERP systems (Oracle strongly preferred) both use and implementation; advanced skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • English at C1 level, other languages advantageous
