DIRECT SOURCING - RAW MATERIALS

Asst. Manager - 5 to 8 years of overall experience

Location: Bangalore

Strategic Dual Sourcing Project tasks:

• Identifying single source material and prepare the project plan for approval of dual source.
• Categorize supplier/product under High, Medium and Low Risk.   
• Identify new suppliers and conduct technical discussions
• Create ARCO / TDA in Agile for the approval of alternate source.
• Conduct meetings with cross functional team to review the progress of approvals
• Prepare a High-Level summary of dual sourcing project for Leadership review.
• Coordinate with QA DC team for sample testing and documentation alignment.
• Coordinate with category lead for pricing closure
• Perform Due Diligence of new proposed supplier
• Implement NDAs and negotiate contracts with the potential suppliers.
• Involved in New Product Development (NPD) and identify new suppliers for new ingredients.

This role manages the Direct sourcing which includes Raw  material, related buying etc. An important element here is handling multiple product categories and vendors for variety of product and services procured. It becomes imperative that we have alternate options available for better negotiations and cost optimization opportunities. The role supports in mitigating business continuity risk through evaluating various options of supplies. The role directly supports in these operations. This demand about 20% of total work hours.

Category Management, Price Tracking, Benchmarking and Budgeting :

This role manages Categories and work closely with Category Specialist teams This role does the analysis of Data for Category Management, tracking and updation of Commodity Pricing and preparation of notes for budgeting analysis and management meetings. These activities demand about 25% of the total work hours.

Supplier Selection Scorecard.

This role will manage the Supplier Evaluation and Rating. He/She will be generating the Supplier scorecard for the supplier selection.

Supplier due diligence for supplier onboarding.  

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Will need communicate and co-ordinate closely with cross functional teams like R&D, QA, Manufacturing, SCM, Regulatory, Sales & Marketing team

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Education: Candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree from a reputed University/MBA in Material Management/Supply Chain or Equivalent Degree .Candidate should be a computer literate, well-versed in MS-Office and Presentations, sound knowledge on ERP/Oracle/SAP.

Experience: 5-8 years of Experience in Procurement field
