Overview

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Cycle Count Technician I will operate a high reach truck, forklift or order picker to conduct daily cycle counts on product within the warehouse safely and efficiently.  The Cycle Count Technician I will also assist with the yearly physical inventory processes. The Cycle Count Technician I will ensure all processes and procedures are followed and are within compliance standards.

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

  • Perform daily and weekly cycle counts, and physical inventory processes as scheduled by the Inventory Control Supervisor or Inventory Control Lead in accordance with set counting schedules and count standards via an RF scanner or manual count sheets. Accurately record counts and report any variances found during count process. 
  • Requires good understanding of Warehouse and Production basic processes and procedures within the Manufacturing facility to identify process/procedure errors or opportunities.  
  • Customer Service orientation – monitor, correct, and communicate inventory issues with assigned areas, and complete Inventory Control e-mail assignments effectively and timely.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections to insure optimum use of material handling equipment. Document the inspection on the daily checklist and report any equipment problems to the Inventory Control Supervisor immediately or Lead.
  • Operate reach trucks, forklifts and order pickers in a safe and appropriate manner when required.
  • Report safety hazards, unsafe working conditions or housecleaning issues to Supervisor, Manager, security, safety committee member or any management team member.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area keeping a constant watch for any safety issues.
  • Perform other functions and duties as assigned or necessary.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

  • Possess analytical and mathematical skills
  • Possess initiative, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Read, write and understand English with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer Office Skills (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook E-mail)
  • Reach Truck, Forklift and Order Picker Operator Certification
  • Ability to use an RF (Radio Frequency) bar code scanner

    ***Must have a valid state issued driver's license.***

 

Experience:

  • Six months experience in warehousing with knowledge of warehousing operations related to Inventory Control functions.
  • One-year high reach truck, forklift experience and/or order picker operator
  • Experience with radio frequency bar code scanners

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Ability to function as an effective team member
  • Knowledge and experience with ORACLE Inventory Management
