Overview

THE ROLE
The analyst will support business development activities by providing timely, accurate and relevant support across various aspects of Distributor, business and sale metrics. The role requires both the discipline and attention to detail to ensure regular reports are accurate, reliable and on time, along with the flexibility, creativity and lateral thinking to be able to explore new issues or opportunities, and to identify meaningful ways to interpret, measure and evaluate the issues from a data perspective in a form that enhances management knowledge, supports early problem identification and resolution, as well as supporting sustainable growth.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE
• This individual will also be responsible for the consolidation of all planning, reporting and providing analytical support to the Regional Sales Manager as & when requested.
• Assist in identifying business opportunities to stimulate growth and profitability for the regions as &  when requested.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses as requested by Regional Office.
• Work closely with various business units to cascade the business requirement and corporate standards. Assist in Event when required.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Skills
• While the focus of this role is the extraction and manipulation of data, it also requires the capacity to identify, explore, interpret, and present key trends, ideas and concepts.
• Experience with data analysis using data warehouse analysis tools driven from multiple ERP and transactional systems.  (Experience with MicroStrategy 9, Oracle, SQL would be an advantage)
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as required to ensure compliance with committed timeframes and conflicting priorities.  
• Excellent time management and priority management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English language proficiency and strong communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and team player skills – strong customer service oriented
• Mature, pleasant, well-organized, and self-motivated
• Hands-on and willing to roll up sleeves to do the jobs.
• High level of confidentiality required.

Experience 
• The ideal candidate should have experience working in a sales analysis or sales support function in a major FMCG multi-national, or in a business analysis role in the financial industry, or in a data analyst role in a business consulting environment.
• Experience in multinational company or international environment

Education 
• A degree or higher-level qualification in a relevant finance, business or IT related discipline.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Proficient with MS Office & Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills, as well as Microsoft Access.
