Overview

THE ROLE: 

 

As the Senior Manager, Artificial Intelligence COE, you will play a groundbreaking role in establishing our Center of Excellence dedicated to driving innovation and strategic implementation of AI technologies, including Generative AI. Your responsibilities will encompass building this COE from the ground up, encouraging cross-functional collaboration, identifying AI opportunities, and assembling and leading a team of AI and Generative AI experts. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in AI and Generative AI, along with shown leadership skills and the ability to build and execute a vision for the successful development of the COE, ultimately improving organizational performance and competitiveness.

 

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: 

  • Establish and lead the Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (COE), defining its mission, goals, and strategy.
  • Develop and complete a roadmap for the COE, outlining key breakthroughs, initiatives, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify AI and Generative AI opportunities that align with organizational objectives.
  • Build and develop a team of AI and Generative AI authorities, encouraging a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Coordinate the research, evaluation, and implementation of pioneering AI technologies, including Generative AI, to drive innovation across the organization.
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship on AI and Generative AI projects, ensuring standard methodologies, ethics, and compliance.
  • Act as a liaison between the COE and other departments, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration to improve the impact of AI initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships and partnerships to stay at the forefront of AI developments.
  • Monitor and measure the efficiency of AI projects, analyzing their impact on organizational performance and competitiveness.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging AI technologies, making recommendations for their strategic adoption and integration into the COE's initiatives.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

  1. AI Leadership: Confirmed experience in leading AI initiatives and establishing an AI Center of Excellence from inception.
  2. Generative AI Expertise: Deep knowledge and practical experience with Generative AI technologies and applications.
  3. Strategic Vision: Ability to build and implement a strategic vision for the COE, aligning AI initiatives with organizational goals.
  4. Team Building: Strong leadership and team-building skills to assemble and lead a team of AI and Generative AI authorities.
  5. AI Project Management: Proficiency in project management methodologies for overseeing AI projects from conception to implementation.
  6. Technical Proficiency: In-depth technical understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, and deep learning.
  7. Collaboration: Excellent collaboration and communication skills to foster cross-functional cooperation and knowledge sharing.
  8. Vendor Management: Experience in managing vendor relationships and partnerships to stay current with AI developments.
  9. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing AI project effectiveness and impact on organizational performance.
  10. Continuous Learning: A commitment to staying updated with industry trends, emerging AI technologies, and best practices in AI and Generative AI.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI, machine learning, analytics, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Consistent track record of delivering successful AI and analytics projects and driving business impact.

 

Education:

 

Required

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
