Overview

THE ROLE:

 

The Senior Analyst, Global Inventory Strategy will be responsible for owning the global inventory strategy and implementing standardized global processes.  They will own the inventory forecasting meetings, report on the global inventory position, and develop/implement inventory strategies.  The Global Inventory Strategy team will provide data and analytics to support corporate and regional inventory initiatives.  This position will work closely with corporate and regional teams to optimize global inventory.

 

 

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

  • Inventory reporting, reconciliation and forecasting at corporate and regional level 
  • Analyze manufacturing and finished good inventory at Global, Regional, Country, Org and SKU level
  • Maintain inventory dashboards in Tableau system
  • Build and distribute monthly business recaps, metrics & KPIs
  • Build and conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business decision such as simulating the inventory projection, and ‘what if’ scenarios when adjusting the manufacturing or planning parameters
  • Analyze inventory parameters, set inventory thresholds and supervise min/max inventory levels
  • Lead inventory meeting with business partners
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Treasury and Regional supply chain teams on optimized inventory strategy
  • Document and maintain standardized team processes. 
  • Ensure global standardization and training of inventory requirements
  • Support ad hoc projects for department

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

  • 5 or more years of experience in inventory management, supply chain or related field
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management, Logistics, warehouse, replenishment strategies
  • Power user of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel 
  • Team player and ability to communicate effectively 
  • Detail oriented and capable of running large amounts of data
  • Highly analytical and effective problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of the cross functional elements of Supply Chain Management (Finished Goods Planning, Inventory Management, Demand Management, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Packaging)
  • Knowledge of data analytic systems, Supply chain systems – Tableau, OBIEE, ASCP, Demantra, Oracle
  • Self-motivated and driven to deliver results 
  • Balance multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Implement global strategies
  • Data forensics, root cause analysis, process improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal skills

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Supply Chain related field
