Overview

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT: 

 

The Manager I, Vendor Management is a leadership role within the Global Technology Services (GTS) Vendor Management Office reporting to the Sr. Manager of Vendor Management. In this role you will be responsible for developing and managing the GTS vendor governance model as well as being responsible for the ongoing management of relationships of all vendors. This function will closely coordinate activities with multiple regional vendor management teams and will collaborate with GTS Leaders and GSS Leadership.

 

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

 

Vendor Governance

  • Develop, implement and regularly update GTS vendor management governance documentation including workflows, policies and procedures
  • Interact with Compliance and Audit to ensure GTS is in alignment with Herbalife second and third lines of defense
  • Interact with the Legal Dept. to ensure GTS understands and incorporates the various global regulations within vendor governance lifecycle
  • Develop, maintain and conduct regular training sessions on the vendor governance lifecycle and processes
  • Lead Vender Management teams of 3+,  mentor and guide junior Vendor Management resources.

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Proactively lead key critical and strategic external relationships to achieve strategic and commercial goals
  • Develop strong relationships with vendors to drive operational excellence via scorecards that provide trend analyses of key performance indicators
  • Develop regular cadence meetings including vendor communication, performance tracking, purchase history and tracking, and issue resolution
  • Partner across GTS senior leaders to act on their behalf and in partnership with GSS to ensure optimal outcome of negotiations with key external relationships including scope, service levels, penalties for service misses, timelines and financials
  • Serve as a senior escalation point from vendor analysts within the VMO for issues between GTS and vendors; partner across GTS, GSS, and vendors to escalate internally and with vendors as needed
  • Partner on a regular basis with GTS team responsible for tracking and reporting all technology operating metrics to include consolidation of all vendor performance metrics and trends
  • Lead team of analysts to define, track and report vendor performance on a regular cadence
  • Drive automation of reporting and oversight of vendors

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Skills:

 

Required:

  • Strong communication and program management skills
  • Be Subject Matter Authority on the vendor management lifecycle including strategy/planning, due diligence, contracting, performance management and termination/renewal
  • Experience in vendor contract management and negotiations.
  • Familiarity with technology categories (e.g., Hardware, Software, Network, Telecom) and market leaders
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Project
  • Proficient in vendor management software tools such as ServiceNow, Hiperos, Archer, MetricStream or others

 

Experience:

 

Required:

  • 6+ years managing IT vendor relationships or related experience (e.g., Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Contract Management, etc.)
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience owning responsibility for governance documentation (e.g. policy and procedures)
  • Experience as key contact between technology and large strategic vendors

 

Education:

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, information technology, or related  

 

 

 

Certificates / Training:

 

Preferred:

  • Related certifications in vendor risk and data analysis
  • Understanding of financial modeling, including Capex/Opex impact of contract terms
