Overview
THE ROLE:
The Herbalife Digital team designs, develops and brings to life global digital solutions serving our 96 markets. Our mission is to create a leading B2B2C platform serving our Distributors and their Customers, driving Herbalife to the forefront of the Wellness gig economy.
The VP Digital Technology is a key leadership role responsible to lead the front-end engineering team and provide a broad scope of technology leadership across the digital organization. The position is accountable for building and leading an impactful team, modernizing the technology stack, renovating processes and upskilling the team to deliver effective and cost-efficient technology solutions.
The role is stationed at the corporate headquarters in Torrance but will work across a distributed technology teams in the US, India and Mexico.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
• Defines and communicates the technical vision and strategy for front office engineering within the organization
• Educates organization on technology matters, stays ahead of evolving engineering and architecture standard methodologies, introduces new platforms and emerging technology
• Analyses and makes decisions about where to buy vs build technology with deep understanding of cost, performance and capability trade- offs
• Leads all aspects of solution blueprint for highly functional, reliable, and performant systems across the enterprise working closely with Enterprise Architecture
• Leads engineering and solution architecture to support value stream teams in achieving ideal product development quality and timelines
• Ensures engineering team maintains the desired level of quality and standards including performance metrics
• Drives team towards successful delivery and daily operations including quality and speed
• Collaborates with security teams to perform regular assessments and address potential vulnerabilities
• Manages a globally distributed team of ~200 internal and external resources across India, Mexico and the US
• Key partners: digital product team, back-office engineering, infrastructure and operations, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, data & analytics

Qualifications
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals from different countries and cultures, with a sensitivity to cultural diversity.
• Occasional travel
• 15 + year’s experience in technology management with 8+ years in management in consumer or technology sectors
• Experience in a leadership role in a large global enterprise with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and influence multi- functional teams
• Innovation-driven mentality with a passion for process improvement, digital transformation, and emerging technologies
• Inspiring and highly capable leader with the ability to establish clear strategy that can motivate others to deliver, and influence change across the organization
• Prior P&L responsibility leading large scale resource and project planning, and execution
• Experience running teams through scaled agile
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
